FLSmidth has signed a contract with a Russian company for machinery supplies for a new 5500tpd cement clinker production line to be placed at an existing cement plant in Russia. The contract has a value slightly over EUR65m. Samart Corp To Get THB205M/Yr Rev For Elec Supply To Factory

Samart Corporation said Tuesday it will receive THB205 million ($6.2m) a year in revenue over the next 10 years for providing electricity to Cambodia’s Kampot Cement factory.     Samart’s wholly-owned unit Kampot Power Plant Co. began providing electricity to the plant on Jan. 14 and will continue to supply power for 10 years under its contract, the company said in a statement to the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

Mercedes-Benz unit lends to Votorantim

Banco Mercedes-Benz, the vehicle financing business in Brazil for automaker DaimlerChrysler, has lent 60mn reais (US$34m) to local cement maker Votorantim Cimentos, the bank said in a statement. Votorantim Cimentos has used the money to buy 200 trucks from the automaker, spending another 80mn reais of its own money.

Becema to Invest $22mn in Kaluga Plant

Kaluga government head Nikolai Lyubimov has signed a major investment contract with Becema, a tank trailers manufacturer based in the Moscow Region, to build a RUR550mn ($22.5mn, or €15.29mn) mechanical engineering plant in Kaluga, a city about 120 miles southwest of Moscow. FLSmidth has been awarded a contract worth approximately EUR40m for machinery supplies to upgrade an existing cement production line at Grupa Ozarow’s cement plant in Ozarow, Poland, some 160km south of Warsaw. China National Materials Company said its wholly-owned Sinoma Cement Co agreed to set up a company to develop cement business in the Luoding, Guangdong Province, PRC.     Sinoma Cement also agreed to build three new dry process cement production lines with a daily capacity of 5000t, to reach a total of 6Mta of production capacity in Luoding, Guangdong Province, PRC by contributing not less than Rmb1.5bn in 5 years.

FLSmidth has signed a contract to provide equipment supplies and engineering for a complete greenfield cement plant with a capacity of 3500tpd of clinker.
