Ormat Technologies, Inc announced that its subsidiary has entered into a US$5.7m agreement with Italcementi Group for the supply of one ORMAT(R) ENERGY CONVERTER (OEC) for a new Recovered Energy Generation (REG) plant. PPC Cement’s Batsweledi expansion project is bringing economic benefit far beyond the towns surrounding the company’s Dwaalboom facility. China’s Sinoma unit wins US$55m Kazakhstan cement plant contract

Sinoma International Engineering Co Ltd said its unit, Tianjin Cement Industry Design & Research Institute Co Ltd, has won a US$55m contract from Kazakhstan Southern Cement to design and provide equipment for a cement production line. In a statement filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Sinoma said the cement line will have daily capacity of 2,500 tons. The project will be completed in 26 months, the company added.

China National Materials Industry Group (Sinoma)’s subsidiary, Tianjin Cement Industrial Design and Research Institute, signed a general contract with the Egyptian Government on June 24th 2007, announced Sinoma on June 29th. 270 kilometers to the northwest of the capital Astana, a new cement plant is built on a green-field site in Kazakhstan under the direction of FLSmidth.
