Argentina’s cement market contracted by 6.3 per cent in July 2018 when compared with the previous year, according to the country cement association, AFCP. Domestic consumption fell from 1,016,589t in July 2017 to 952,220t one year later. Nationwide dispatches by Argentine producers declined to 949,680t fro 1,007,897t, down 5.8 per cent YoY. Argentina’s cement market contracted by 3.5 per cent to 970,978t in June 2018 from 1.007Mt in June 2017, according to the latest data from AFCP, the country’s cement association. Argentine cement consumption decreased by 4.4 per cent to 924,979t in May 2018, according to AFCP, the country’s cement association. When compared with the previous month, demand contracted by 3.5 per cent from 958,184t in April. Argentina’s cement market expanded by 13.5 per cent in April to 958,241t  when compared with April 2017, but fell 12.2 per cent MoM, according to the country’s cement producers’ association, AFCP.This demand was met by 953,081t of domestic output and 5160t of imports. Cement consumption in Argentina increased 6.2 per cent in March 2018 to 1,091,121t from 1,027,094t in March 2017, according to the country’s cement association, AFCP. The Argentine cement market expanded 16.5 per cent in November 2017 with consumption increasing to 1,179,763t from 1,013,083t, according to the latest data from the country’s cement producers' association, AFCP. Argentina saw a 18.1 per cent MoM drop to 845,690t in dispatches (including exports) in April but noted a 10.7 per cent rise YoY, according to the country’s Portland Cement Manufacturers’ Association. Argentina’s cement market expanded by 1.2 per cent YoY in January 2017 as cement sales reached 868,590t from 858,496t the year before, according to the country's cement association, AFCP. Argentina’s cement consumption edged up 0.7 per cent YoY to 940,081t in December 2016, but fell 7.2 per cent MoM, according to provisional figures released by the country’s cement association, AFCP.
