GCCA welcomes new member companies

The Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA) has added cement companies from India, China, Peru and Mexico to its growing global membership base which now totals 36 member companies and 15 affiliates. The new members are Corporacion Moctezuma (Mexico), Unión Andina de Cementos SAA (Peru), JSW Cement (India) and West China Cement (China). Cement supply has dropped in China after the crackdown on polluting industries. This has encouraged price increases and higher profits for cement manufacturers. Vietnamese exports rise 15% in February

Vietnamese exports have risen 15.2 per cent in volume and 36.3 per cent in value for February 2019, rising to around 2.5Mt and US$105m, respectively. The average export price has increased 18.3 per cent YoY to US$42/t, according to the country’s Foreign Trade Agency. Huaxin Cement Narayani, a Nepali-Chinese joint venture, is set to begin construction on its facility in Dhading district, Nepal, within the next few days.
