Eurocement orders three VRMs from Gebr Pfeiffer

Russia’s Eurocement has ordered three more VRMs for its Akhangaran project in Uzbekistan from Germany-based Gebr Pfeiffer. The order includes an MVR 5000 R-4 for raw material grinding and two MVR 5000 C-4 models for cement grinding. The MVR 5000 R-4 has a total drive power of 2500kW and can grind 500tph of raw material to a fineness of 12 per cent R 90µm. The cement grinding mills, each with an installed drive power of 4000kW, are designed to grind 200tph of OPC at 3200 Blaine.

Eurocement Group has started the construction of its new 3Mta facility in Uzbekistan. The Belarusian Architecture and Construction Ministry (BACM) has announced that US$400m of cement was traded between Belarus and Russia between 2014-2018. Eurocement Group will invest RUB2.2bn (US$37.7m) in the modernisation of two cement plants in the Leningrad region, Russia. Lipetskcement, part of the Eurocement Group, produced 684,000t of cement in 2017, representing a rise of 6.8 per cent YoY, and 600,000t of clinker, a YoY increase of 16.1 per cent. Voronezh Cement increases dispatches by 5%

Eurocement-owned Voronezh Cement saw a five per cent YoY advance in its shipments to customers in 2017. Dispatches rose to 1.8Mt by the end of the year. The company increased its cement output by five per cent to 1.808Mt while its clinker production rose by 10 per cent to 1.717Mt when compared with the company’s production figures in 2016.

The new cement plant will be an expansion on the site of Akhangarancement JSC in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This project is expected to raise the annual production capacity of the site from 2Mt to 5Mt. According to Eurocement Group, the plant will be fitted with equipment mainly from European manufacturers and become the largest cement enterprise in the region. The new plant will be operational from 2020.
