PT Semen Tonasa, part of Semen Indonesia Group, has commissioned BEUMER Group to supply a palletising system for 40kg and 50kg bags for its Celukan Bawang plant on Bali, Indonesia. Semen Indonesia improves 9M net profit and carbon performance

Indonesia-based PT Semen Indonesia Group (SIG) posted a net profit of IDR1.65trn (US$105.7m) in the January-September 2022 period, up 18.9 per cent from IDR1.39trn in the 9M21. PT Semen Indonesia saw a 2.1 per cent slip in total revenues to IDR15.876trn in the 1H22 when compared with the year-ago period. In the first half of 2022, Semen Indonesia Group (SIG) has reported revenue of IDR15,876bn (US$1064m), down 2.1 per cent on the same period last year. Total exports from Indonesia declined by 35.5 per cent in June 2022 as the country’s cement producers supplied 665,760t of cement and clinker to overseas destinations, according to the Indonesian cement association, ASI. Cement sales in Indonesia slipped two per cent to 5,438,865 in June 2022 from 5,551,489t in June 2021, according to the Indonesian cement association, ASI.
