Cemex reports 4% decline in net sales for 3Q19

Cemex has reported consolidated net sales of US$3.5bn in the 3Q19, representing a decrease of four per cent YoY, or one per cent on a like-for-like (LfL) basis for the ongoing operations and adjusting for foreign-exchange fluctuations. GCC sees 8% rise in consolidated net sales

Mexico's Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua (GCC) has recorded an 8.3 per cent YoY rise in consolidated net sales to US$301.7m for the third quarter of 2019, on the back of improved cement volumes and prices in Mexico and the USA. Holcim Mexico to build new plant in Yucatan

Mexico City’s cement prices have fallen in September compared to June 2019, according to a survey conducted by Morgan Stanley Casa de Bolsa. Cemex Ventures, the venture capital business of Cemex, has announced it has invested in GoFor Industries, a logistics marketplace for on-demand delivery of building materials and equipment for the DIY and construction industries. GCC signs agreement for clean energy supply

Mexico’s Grupo Cementos Chihuahua (GCC) has signed an agreement with a US-based clean energy provider for the supply of solar and wind energy to its cement plant in Odessa, Texas, to fulfil 100 per cent of the facility’s electricity requirement. Mexico's Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua (GCC) has announced a 1.3 per cent YoY increase in sales to US$403.9m for the first six months of 2019, against US$398.8m in the year-ago period. Cemex increases cement exports from its Mexican plants

In 2018 Cemex advanced its share of cement exports from its Mexican plants to six per cent. In terms of destination of these shipments, around 63 per cent of Cemex’s total cement exports from Mexico were delivered to the USA, a further one per cent to Costa Rica and the balance to the rest of the Latin American region, including the Caribbean.
