Polish cement sales forecast to decline

Cement sales in Poland are expected to decline to 19Mt in 2022 from 19.3Mt in 2021, according to the Polish cement association, SPC. However, the association predicts that sales could return to their upward trend in 2023, when it projects sales of 19.4Mt.

Buzzi Unicem FY21 preliminary regional results see 7% rise in cement sales

Cement sales of the Buzzi Unicem group amounted to 31.2Mt in 2021, increasing by 6.7 per cent when compared to 2020. Cemex will supply Vertua concrete for sustainable Polish building

Cemex will supply its low carbon concrete called Vertua for the construction of Warsaw’s P180 office building. The P180 office building, designed by PRC Architekci and developed and built by Skanska, requires 3500m 3 of Vertua concrete to be delivered in the 3Q22. Holcim has closed the acquisition of the Utelite Corp in Coalville, Utah (US), a leading producer of lightweight aggregates. The foundation stone for Lafarge Poland's Małogoszcz plant modernisation has been ceremonially laid, which signals the beginning of construction of a new rotary kiln.
