Vicat posts 16% increase in 9M consolidated revenue

Vicat posted a 15.7 per cent YoY increase to EUR2697m (US$2691m) in consolidated revenue at constant scope and exchange rates in the January-September 2022 period. On a reported basis, the increase was 14.6 per cent YoY. Vicat reports 13% rise in 1H sales but rising energy costs affect EBITDA

Vicat reported a 12.5 per cent increase in first-half sales to EUR1755m (US$1790.6m) in the January-June 2022 period when compared with the 1H21, when sales reached EUR1560m. Vicat has posted a 12.4 per cent uptick at constant scope and exchange rates in 1Q22 consolidated sales to EUR789m when compared with the equivalent year-ago period. The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has approved the publication of a disclosure of an acquisition offer by Vicat Cement Egypt for a 42.12 per cent stake in Sinai Cement Co at EGP6.74 (US$0.36) per share, according to a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
