Cement sales in Saudi Arabia advanced by 10 per cent YoY in August 2022, according to a report by brokerage house Aljazira Capital. Saudi Arabia-based Yamama Cement recorded a net profit after zakat and tax of SAR132.6m (US$35.3m) in the 1H21, a 24 per cent fall from SAR174.8m in the same period a year ago. Saudi Arabia’s Yamama Cement (YSCC) registered revenue of SAR211m (US$56m) in FY20,a YoY drop of 10.8 per cent. Cement sales volumes for 4Q20 reached at 1.19Mt. Yamama Cement (YSCC) posted a revenue of SAR218m (US$58.12m) in 3Q20, a YoY growth of 16.6 per cent.  Cement volumes grew by 24.9 per cent in 3Q20 compared to 3Q19 at 1.13Mt. Saudi sales increase 24% YoY in November

The sales of 17 cement companies in Saudi Arabia amounted to 4.27Mt in November 2019, a 23.8 per cent YoY increase compared with 3.45Mt in the year-ago period, according to a report by Yamama Cement. Cement production rose by 22 per cent YoY to 4.3Mt during the period, against 3.54Mt in November 2018. Inventories showed modest growth to 1.22Mt from 1.18Mt.  Southern Province Cement Co reportedly recorded the highest sales volume at 613,000t, followed by Saudi Cement Co and Yanbu Cement.

Saudi Cement posted net income of SAR92.3m (US$24.613m) in 2Q19 and profits were up 59 per cent in the period compared to 2Q18, but declined  by 30.3 per cent compared to 1Q19. Yamana Cement Company have awarded Wärtsilä an EPC contract for the supply of a 161MW Flexicycle power plant. In addition to the EPC contract, the companies have also signed a five-year operation and maintenance management agreement as well as a 10-year spare parts supply agreement. Yamama Cement Co recorded a 14.61 per cent decline in net earnings in the fourth quarter of 2014 to SAR152m (US$40.5m), compared to SAR178m in the comparative period of the previous year. However, earnings were up 10.95 per cent compared to the SAR137m recorded in the 3Q14. Full-year profit also declined by 22.87 per cent YoY from SAR870m. Yamama Cement's June domestic deliveries reached 484,000t, a 5.5 per cent decline MoM and a 17.7 per cent YoY fall, according to NBK Capital.
