New Agadir plant to enter production in July09 April 2021, Published under Cement NewsLafargeHolcim’s new cement plant in Souss-Massa, 45km southwest of Agadir, Morocco, is expected to be commissioned at the end of July. The 1.6Mta plant represents an investment of MAD3bn (US$334.6m) and is equipped with the latest technologies, in line with the company’s “Plant of Tomorrow” concept. Interoceanicos to build cement plant in Puno18 March 2021, Published under Cement NewsPeru-based Cementos Interoceanicos has signed an agreement with Satarem to build a 1Mta cement and two lime plants in Puno, Peru, in the next 18 months. The cement producer expects to enter the area’s cement and lime markets in the next two years. The project represents an investment of US$158m. SCCI commissioned a 1.5Mta cement plant, which represents an investment of XOF60bn (US$110.55m). The new production unit is expected to create 300 direct jobs and 1069 indirect jobs.
