Vietnam produced 51.3Mt of cement in the first 11 months of this year, down 5.4 per cent from a year earlier, the General Statistics Office said. Russia’s Sibirsky Cement increased its sales by 6% to 3.561Mt in the first 10 months of 2012, the company said in a press release. The company’s production rose by 5.5% to 3.543Mt in Jan-Oct 2012. Based in the Kemorovo Region, Sibirsky Cement operates three works and commands an annual production capacity of around 5.3Mta.

ACC Ltd's sales rose 3.5 per cent to 2.04Mt in October, from 1.97Mt in the same month a year ago. The company's production increased marginally to 2.05Mt during the month, as compared to 2.04Mt in October 2011, ACC said in a statement. Cement production in Iran during the first six months of the current Iranian calender (beginning 20 March 2012) has reached 36Mt, Esfandiar Salarvand MD of Fars & Khuzestan Cement Company, told local press. Eurocement’s Ukraine operations see further market growth

Plants operating under the Eurocement-Ukraina network produced more than 1.2Mt of cement in the first nine months of 2012. More than 1.22Mt of cement have been sold in the reporting period. Mozambique prices expected to fall

Mozambique’s minister of industry and trade Armando Inroga expects cement prices will fall by year-end as production stabilises. Iran is projected to produce 75Mt of cement by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2013), according to local news reports. ISNA quoted Iranian deputy industry minister, Vajihollah Jafari, as saying that production capacity will be 86Mt by the end of the year. Iran exported over 6.8Mt of cement during the first six months of the current (Iranian) year.
