FLSmidth wins orders in South Africa

FLSmidth & Co AS said it has won a contract worth DKr180m from South Africa’s Natal Portland Cement Company Pty. The DKr180m contract from Natal Portland Cement Co is for the supply of a complete cement production line to the Simuma plant in the Kwa-Zulu Natal region, and will have a daily capacity of 1500 tonnes of cement.

FLSmidth has won a contract worth DKK 230m for the supply of a 2.2Mta cement production line for Binani Cement Limited. Lafarge North America, Inc. has recently contracted with Loesche America, Inc. to install five classifiers on the existing Raymond mills located at their Alpena, Michigan Plant.  The project is in alignment with the Lafarge goal of increasing capacity and fineness. Kavkazcement adopts new technology

Kavkazcement, a cement plant which is part of the Eurocement Group, Russia’s leader in building materials production, has completed testing of Wirtgen Surface Miner 2200 SM produced by Wirtgen GmbH, German construction equipment manufacturer. The new equipment allows for reduced explosive blasts during limestone production, and also is expected to raise efficiency and decrease operating costs.

Star Cement recently signed a purchase agreement contract with Van Aalst Bulk Handling of Netherlands in Dubai for the complete engineering and supply of a high efficiency pneumatic ship unloader.
