Sinoma, Arabina Yemen Co sign US$154m cement deal

Sinoma International Engineering Co Ltd has signed a US$154m deal with Arabian Yemen Co Ltd to build a cement  plant in Yemen’s Mukalla region.   According to a statement filed at the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the Chinese firm will construct the factory within 26 months. It will have  production capacity of 4,000 tons of cement per day.  

FLSmidth wins large contract in Vietnam

FLSmidth has signed a contract worth EUR 57m with Vietnam National Cement Trading Company for a 3300tpd clinker production line at the Hoang Thach cement plant. Sinoma wins cement plant deal, Yemen

China’s Sinoma International has signed an agreement to build a cement plant with an annual capacity of 1.4Mt in Yemen, the Saba news agency said. Under the deal, Sinoma is to complete the construction of the plant in the city of Mukalla within three years, the agency said. The total cost of the plant is US$260m, but the agency did not give the value of the agreement signed with Sinoma. Three companies are locked in a battle to secure the tender for construction of a new mill at East African Portland Cement. Mogensen feeders for Lafarge, UK

Mogensen has received an order for eight Type TR1 vibratory feeders for installation in the Lafarge Cement Northfleet Works. This order follows the successful operation of a similar feeder, which was commissioned at Northfleet in 2003. The feeders will be suspended above the reclaim tunnel conveyor using both wire ropes and isolation springs, the duty of each machine being to extract up to 100tph of abrasive clinker from the main storage silos and discharge it onto the conveyor.
