Savinsky Cement Mill (Eurocement Group) has begun installing a Swedish-made unique horizontal filter.  The contract for the delivery of the filter was signed with France’s ALSTOM Power Stavan. FLSmidth & Co AS said it has won a Euro 35m order from Fars & Khuzestan Cement Co’s Abyek Cement unit to expand and modernise a cement production line in Iran. Capacity at the cement plant will increase to over 8500tpd from currently 4000tpd.

FLSmidth has been successful in winning two contracts totalling more than US$44m.  The first contract is for the cement kiln system for the new line at Essroc’s Martinsburg, West Virginia Plant. German engineering group CEMAG Anlagenbau GmbH and Saudi TIG Group signed, in late May 2006, an agreement for construction of a 1.1 bln Saudi riyals ($293m) cement plant in Jalajil, central Saudi Arabia.  Under the two-year contract, CEMAG will provide engineering, procurement, supply, execution and maintenance for TIG’s cement plant.
