JK Cement plans to set up a 3Mt plant at a cost of 9bn rupees in the southern state of Karnataka and expects building work to begin next month. The plant would help the company supply to parts of southern and western India, JK Cement said in a statement. The plant was expected to start production in the second half of 2008, it said. |

China’s Sinoma wins US$84m contract from Serebryanskiy Cement10 November 2006, Published under Cement NewsChina’s Sinoma International Engineering Co Ltd said it has signed an agreement with Russia’s Serebryanskiy cement plant to design and provide equipment for one of its cement production lines, with the contract valued at US$84m.
