CRH releases 2015 sustainability report

CRH has launched its 2015 Sustainability Report that covers 84 pages on how it approaches sustainability, health and safety, environment and climate change, governance as well as people and community.  In the 84-page report the company highlights that 1.6Mt of alternative fuels provided 30 per cent of its cement plant fuel requirements during 2015, while the company’s water intake has fallen by 65 per cent through recycling. Cemex USA announced Thursday that four of its cement manufacturing plants have earned the US Environmental Protection Agency ENERGY STAR® certification in 2015. Sri Lanka's President Maitripala Sirisena inaugurated Holcim Village in Akmeemana, Galle, this week.
