Specialists of the Novosibirsk-based research and production enterprise ’Vorteks’ developed the world’s only industrial vacuum cleaner intended for cleaning production premises from cement and concrete powder and construction debris. The vacuum cleaner design is based on unique water-air vortical chamber, earlier developed by Novosibirsk engineers, which is capable of coping with great amounts of industrial dirt.

China produced 1.048bn tonnes of cement in 2005, up 11.7 per cent year-on-year, it was reported on February 7, 2006.  The sales revenue of Chinese cement makers totalled 260.84 bln Chinese yuan (US$32.28bn) for the year, up 16.2 per cent year-on-year. PPC cement prices to rise soon

Customers of PPC can expect price increases of, on average, roughly 5% soon, says CEO John Gomersall. These could be followed by a further mid-year hike to recoup some of the extraordinary increases coming through from PPC’s suppliers. PT Semen Padang in West Sumatra province said it will this year reduce its exports to 14 per cent of the projected production of 5.3Mt to meet rising demand in Aceh. Cement production in north Khorasan set to surge

The development plan of the Iranian Bojnurd Cement Plant is estimated to be completed in the next two years, increasing the plant’s daily output from 2000 to 5300tpd. Three other cement plants will be built in Esfarayen, Samangan, and Shirvan, each with a daily production capacity of 10,000t. As the initial investment, some 750 billion rials has been allocated for the project in Esfarayen, which will be operational in 2008. (Tehran Times)
