Aalborg Portland and Fidelis New Energy have signed a letter of intent enabling the cement producer to potentially supply more than 400,000t of CO 2 to the Norne Carbon Storage Hub in Aalborg through a direct pipeline connection by 2030. Aalborg Portland ( Cementir group ) claims it has significantly increased its climate ambitions with a new roadmap that sets a ceiling on emissions in 2030. Aalborg Portland reports sluggish Futurecem sales

Sales of its lower-carbon cement, Futurecem, have not reached the projected volumes of 40,000tpa, 18 months after its market launch, according to Denmark-based Aalborg Portland. To date sales of 2000t have been reported. Aalborg Portland signs 5-year transport deal

Denmark-based Aalborg Portland has signed a five-year cement transport agreement with Demstrup Autotransport and Silo Trans. The two firms will carry out the more than 33,000 transports annually to complete the cement producer’s distribution of more than 1.25Mta of cement.
