Peru’s cement consumption increased 6.5 per cent to 1.035Mt in September 2019 when compared with September 2018, according to Asocem, the country’s cement association. This included 1.02Mt supplied by domestic producers. Cement production increased 7.4 per cent to 943,000t when compared with September 2018 and 0.8 per cent MoM. Demand for cement in Peru has increased 6.3 per cent YoY to 1.052Mt in August 2019 when compared with 0.989Mt in the year-ago period, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Domestic dispatches advanced 6.4 per cent to 1.043Mt in August, up from 0.981Mt in August 2018 and 0.982Mt in July 2019. Peru’s cement consumption increased 9.1 per cent YoY to 983,000t in July 2019 when compared with the previous-year’s equivalent month, which saw demand at 901,000t, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Output from Asocem members edged up by 4.9 per cent to 858,000t in July 2019 when compared with an output of 818,000t in July 2018. The Peruvian cement market expanded by 4.1 per cent YoY to 0.914Mt in June, according to Asocem, the country’s cement association. However, MoM demand fell by 4.8 per cent. Cement dispatches in Peru increased four per cent YoY to 0.906Mt in June 2019.  Of this total, Asocem members supplied 0.807Mt while a further 0.099Mt was delivered by non-members. Cement consumption in Peru rose 8.2 per cent YoY in May 2019 to 0.976Mt, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Of this total, 0.97Mt was supplied by domestic producers, including 0.854Mt by Asocem members, who reported a 9.7 per cent YoY and a 8.3 per cent MoM rise in dispatches. Cement consumption in Peru advanced 3.4 per cent to 905,000t in April 2019, up 3.4 per cent when compared with April 2018, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Peru’s cement consumption advanced 4.8 per cent to 0.931Mt in March 2019 when compared with March 2018, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. The figure includes 105,500t of cement imports, up 116 per cent from 48,900t in March 2018. National cement consumption in Peru slipped by 4.9 per cent in February 2019 to 0.893Mt, down from 0.9Mt reported in February 2018, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Cement demand in Peru increased to 1.022Mt in January 2019, according to the latest figures by the country’s cement association, Asocem. This represents a YoY rise of 9.8 per cent from 0.931Mt reported in January 2018. Cement consumption in Peru increased 5.8 per cent YoY to 1.02Mt in December 2018, according to the latest data from Peru’s cement association, Asocem. Cement production remained largely stable in December 2018 at 906,000t, up 0.9 per cent YoY and 0.6 per cent MoM. Clinker output rose 2.1 per cent YoY to 913,000t and 6.9 per cent MoM from 855,000t.
