Cement dispatches in Colombia rose 5.9 per cent to 1.05Mt in April 2015, according to the country’s statistics office, Dane. Cement production in April reached 1.1Mt, up five per cent YoY and the highest output for April in the past eight years. Colombia's cement consumption in February rose by 6.1 per cent YoY to 1.046Mt from 0.987Mt the previous year, according to the country's statistics office, DANE. Cement deliveries in Colombia rose by 12.5 per cent YoY to 1.107Mt in December 2015, according to the latest data by the country’s statistics office, DANE. Construction companies and contractors mainly fuelled the increase as their segment expanded by 27.9 per cent. Colombian cement consumption rose seven per cent to 1,161,601t in October, according to the latest figures by DANE, the country’s statistics office. Production increased 12.8 per cent YoY from 1,072,942t in October 2014 to 1,210,370t in October 2015. In the Jan-Oct period, domestic cement consumption increased 6.9 per cent to 10.632Mt. Output during the first 10 months has advanced 6.4 per cent to 10.839Mt.

Colombia’s cement market expanded by 8.6 per cent YoY in August to 1.108Mt on the back of increased demand from construction companies and contractors (+21.4 per cent) and ready-mix firms (+9.7 per cent) which accounted for 6.3 percentage points of the increase, according to national statistics office DANE. Growth in Colombian cement demand continues as dispatches increased 8.8 per cent YoY to 1.152Mt, according to DANE, the country's statistics office. Cement dispatches in Colombia increased 2.7 per cent YoY to 1.062Mt, according to the country’s statistics office, DANE. The increase is primarily the result of an 8.7 per cent rise in the construction and contractors segment, which expanded by 8.7 per cent. Colombia saw a 6.1 per cent YoY rise in cement dispatches in February as 985,300t of the product were delivered, according to DANE, the national statistics office. The largest increases were experienced in Nariño (+52.1 per cent), Bolívar (+37 per cent), Antioquia (+17 per cent) and Bogotá (7.7 per cent). The Colombian cement market expanded by 14.5 per cent YoY in January 2015 as the country’s cement producer dispatched 927,800t of cement, according to the latest figures by national statistics office, Dane. Output rose 8.3 per cent to 0.9Mt when compared with January 2014. The strongest demand growth occurred in Nariño (+165 per cent), Cesar (+37 per cent), Magdalena (+36 per cent),  while Antioquia and Bolivar saw dispatches rise by 25 per cent.

Cement dispatches in Colombia saw a 5.5 per cent YoY expansion to 1.09Mt in October 2014, according to the latest data published by Dane, the country’s statistics office. While construction companies and contractors consumed some 7.3 per cent less, this was offset by a 13.4 per cent sales advance in the retail segment.
