Kyrgyzstan to build greenfield 1.5Mta cement plant

President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan has launched the Terek Tash clinker factory in Kemin district.  The new 1.5Mta cement plant is an investment agreement between the government and the consortium of Terek Tash LLC and Zenit LLC. A cement plant and a small hydroelectric power station and a will be built in Tyup, Kyrgyzstan by Chinese investors, reports The office of the Presidential Envoy to Issyk-Kul region. The   agreement was signed with representatives of Yunsheng Mining (Yunnan) Co Ltd and China Yunsheng Group. The expansion of the construction market on an unprecedented scale has led to a critical cement shortage in Kyrgyzstan, according to Syrian Omorov, head of the regulated sectors department of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service. Ukraine's reconstruction efforts boosts cement production

Ukraine 's cement association, Ukrcement, reported that the country has increased its cement production by 25 per cent in response to growing reconstruction needs. On 1 August, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) conducted a market test for the acquisition of two Buzzi cement plants by CRH . "Norm" OJSC ’s audited financial results of 2023 saw sales income increased by 11 per cent YoY to AZN226m (US$132.9m), while total profit increased by 21.1 per cent to AZN109m.
