Egypt’s Minister of Environment, Yasmeen Fouad, has inaugurated a new waste management and alternative fuel production plant, set up by Geocycle Egypt at Ain Sokhna in the Suez Governate. Geocycle, part of the LafargeHolcim group, produced 53,000t of alternative fuels, the highest in 10 years, at its Albox plant in Spain as it processed 49,000t of waste, up 20 per cent when compared with volumes in 2017.
