Kant modernises packing department

Kant Cement plant in the Chui region, Kyrgyz Republic, has modernised the packing department. The company installed a Turbo K8 filling machine from Russia-based Vselug for more accurate and convenient packing of cement. German BERG compressors to clean sleeves also entered service. Kant aims to ship at least 60 per cent of its products in 25kg and 50kg bags. The new equipment will enable the cement plant to provide 24/7 product delivery.

Kyrgyz Republic produces 1.6Mt of cement in 9M18

Cement producers in the Kyrgyz Republic manufactured 1.6Mt of cement in the first three quarters of 2018, according to GS-Expert. This represents a YoY growth of 36 per cent. Domestic consumption rose seven per cent while exports saw a 420 per cent hike.

New Kyrgyz Republic plant planned

A new cement plant is to be constructed in the Aravan district of Osh province, Kyrgyz Republic. The main investor in the 500tpd facility is a Chinese company, according to local press reports citing a statement from the press service of the the regional administration. "The agreement between the Chinese company and the Head of Alya Anar rural district stipulates that locals will be employed," the statement said.

Kyrgyz Parliament demands the Government explain high price of cement

The Kyrgyz Parliament has requested that the government explain why cement prices have dramatically soared in the country, according to local press reports.
