Algeria starts clinker exports to France29 March 2021, Published under Cement NewsCILAS commenced Algerian clinker exports to France with a 9000t shipment of clinker from the port of Skikda. In the coming weeks, other shipments of 10,000t will leave Algeria for France, according to M Souakri. Clinker exports to other European countries such as Serbia and Belgium are also being considered. The company has set a clinker export target of 1Mt this year. Arabian Cement reports net loss in 202001 March 2021, Published under Cement NewsEgypt’s Arabian Cement Co has reported an EGP122.78m (US$7.8m) net loss during 2020, compared with an EGP28.92m profit in the previous year. Deliveries to the infrastructure segment increased 7.3 per cent YoY to 102,520t in December 2020, but offtake to the ready-mix concrete segment fell by 4.8 per cent YoY to 202,802t.
