Hoang Phat Vissai Group acquires control of Song Lam 2 Cement16 April 2015, Published under Cement NewsHoang Phat Vissai Group has acquired Song Lam 2 Cement JSC in Vietnam's central province of Nghe An from state-owned PetroVietnamCement 12/9 JSC. The group will invest VND500bn to complete and speed up construction of the plant in order to operate it in the next quarter. For the first two months of the year, demand declined by 1.2 per cent YoY to 9.07Mt. Vicem sales up 6.7% in first two months12 March 2015, Published under Cement NewsState-owned Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem) said it sold about 3.1Mt of cement and clinker in the first two months of this year, rising 6.7 per cent from a year ago and fulfilling 99.1 per cent of the target.
