Indonesia's cement demand fell 9.7 percent to 17,499,807t in the 3Q20 from 19,384,326t in the 3Q19, according to the Indonesian Cement Association (ASI). The decline in domestic cement consumption was mitigated by a 62.4 per cent surge in exports, which increased to 3,128,985t in the 3Q20 from 19,384,326t in the year-ago period. A total of 54,000t of cement have been exported to Afghanistan from Sistan and Baluchestan province, southeastern Iran, since the start of the Iranian year on 20 March. Turkish cement exports to France rise by 9% in 1H20

In June 2020 the export of Turkish cement to France increased by 65.6 per cent YoY, representing a value of US$12.9m, according to the Turkish Ministry of Trade. Total cement exports from Turkey in June advanced 37.4 per cent to US$343.1m when compared with June 2019. Algerian cement exports increase 239% in 11M19

The value of Algerian cement and clinker exports has surged 239.2 per cent to US$59.24m in the 11M19, compared with US$17.47m in the year-ago period, according to the Customs’ Surveys and Prospects Department (DEPD). Saïd Djellab, former trade minister, had said in November that cement export revenues were expected to reach US$60m in late 2019, however, these figures are now expected to require adjustment considering the pace of development.
