Cement deliveries in Indonesia slipped by 3.2 per cent YoY in August 2019 to 6,323,297t from 6,532,840t in August 2018, according to data by the Indonesian cement association, ASI, cited by Semen Indonesia Group. Demand for cement in Peru has increased 6.3 per cent YoY to 1.052Mt in August 2019 when compared with 0.989Mt in the year-ago period, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Cement dispatches in Chile increased by 11.3 per cent to 317,626t in July 2019 from 285,357t in July 2018, according to the Chilean construction chamber (CChC). MoM an 8.8 per cent rise was achieved, from 291,979t in June 2019. In the first seven months of 2019, total dispatches reached 2,382,831t, up 5.7 per cent when compared with January-June 2018 when deliveries were 2,254,729t.
