Vicat contracts FLSmidth for full-scale clay calcination project

French cement consumption expected to recover in 2021

Cement consumption in France fell 7.5 per cent to an estimated 17.891Mt in 2020 with demand in 2021 forecast at 19.039Mt, up 6.5 per cent YoY, according to CIC Market Solutions. Cem'In'EU's Rhône plant received CE marking

Cem’In’EU has announced that its Rhône Cements site has obtained CE marking for all of its cements, both bulk and bags. This follows long-term and particularly-demanding management of quality and the implementation of a 4.0 technology ensuring the regularity and traceability of production. The plant has also completed its first shipment with the European cement in a 25kg bag.

Algeria starts clinker exports to France

CILAS commenced Algerian clinker exports to France with a 9000t shipment of clinker from the port of Skikda. In the coming weeks, other shipments of 10,000t will leave Algeria for France, according to M Souakri.
