Märker Zement's new kiln is lifted into position

SGS Industrial Services GmbH has announced that the next major steps at the construction site in Harburg, Germany, for Märker Zement’s new kiln line have been achieved. The local SGS team successfully lifted the first part and second part of the new rotary kiln. The first part alone had a length of 36m and a weight of 190t, and the second had a length of 25m and weighed 120t. With two mobile cranes the two parts were lifted and positioned.  

Sinoma CBMI Construction wins order for new Domicem production line

Sinoma CBMI Construction will construct a new production line for Domicem (Colacem group) in the Dominican Republic. Colacem announced, in March 2021, that it would invest US$120m in its subsidiary Domicem for the construction of a new kiln line at Sabana Grande de Palenque. The project will double the existing cement capacity at the site to approximately 3.8Mta.

Sinoma Overseas wins Turkish kiln line project

This September, Sinoma Overseas was awarded the contract by Kentcim Group for the main equipment supply and technical services for a 4250tpd cement production line in southern Turkey. The new line will include a six-stage preheater.   Kentcim Group currently operates the Muğla Çimento San grinding plant in Mu ğla province. Qassim Cement announces 10,000tpd new line

Qassim Cement Co has announced a new 10,000tpd production line at its plant in Buraydah, Saudi Arabia, that will replace some of the current production lines. The project execution is expected to start in the 1H22, the cement producer reported. The cost of the project will be announced after completing studies. The project's financing options, and expected completion date, financial impact as well as production date will be announced in due course, the company added.

National Cement 5000tpd clinker line construction advances

After one year of construction activity and despite the pandemic situation, National Cement's 1.65Mta Ragland Cement plant modernisation project is progressing well and is on schedule. Kohat Cement commissions 7800tpd kiln line

Kohat Cement Company Ltd (KOHC) informed Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on 27 January 2020 that it has successfully commenced commercial operations from its brownfield grey kiln line of 7800tpd, including waste heat recovery power plant, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.   A company notification says that after setting up of this additional line, the total installed cement production capacity of the company has enhanced from 2,953,500tpa to 5,293,500tpa.

Pioneer Cement's new kiln line starts production

Pioneer Cement Ltd (PIOC) has informed Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) that the company successfully ignited its new 10,000tpd kiln line. Flying Cement to install OK™ mill on new 7700tpd line

Flying Cement Company has placed a major order with FLSmidth for its new 7700tpd production line in Mangwal, Pakistan. FLSmidth will supply a new OK™ 71-6 cement mill, which will be designed to grind OPC cement at a capacity of 415tph. Commissioning is expected in 2020, and the mill will be supplied together with an FLSmidth ILC preheater system, two-Base Kiln, Cross-Bar ® cooler, ROKSH 119 Separator, MAAG ® WPV-5000 gear unit, heat exchanger and three filters.
