China’s cement output remained largely stable in September 2014 at 224.15Mt when compared against August 2014, when the world’s largest cement maker produced 224.8Mt. YoY output slipped slightly from 225.06Mt. In the year to date, China’s cement production has reached 1809.41Mt.

Mikhailovcement Jan-Sept output up 20.2% YoY

Mikhailovcement, part of the Eurocement group, produced 1.21Mt of cement in January-September 2014, up 20.2 per cent on the comparative period of last year. The Mikhailovcement plant, situated in the Ryazan region, produced 281,350t of  CEM I 42.5H (+65.6 per cent) and 981,620t of clinker (+17 per cent) during the period. A total of 1.234Mt were shipped to customers, up +21.1 per cent YoY.

Two Conch subsidiaries hit September highs

Anhui Conch Cement Co Ltd reported that output and sales of its major subsidiaries hit record highs in September. The company's Foshan subsidiary in south China's Guangdong province saw daily sales exceed 10,000t for five consecutive days in September, with average daily sales stablising at 8000t, according to a Xinhua-run cnstock.com report. Argentina records stable September sales

Argentina’s cement plants dispatched 1,054,294t of cement (including exports) in September 2014, according to the latest figures by the country’s cement association, AFCP. This represents an improvement of five per cent when compared with August and 0.3 per cent YoY. Exports fell from 9566t in September 2013 to 8863t one year later. Vietnam September output up 4% YoY

Vietnam is estimated to have produced 5Mt of cement in September, up four per cent from the previous month and nine per cent YoY, the government’s General Statistics Office (GSO) said. In the first nine months, the country’s cement output has risen 4.8 per cent YoY to 43.3Mt, the office said in its monthly cement report. In August domestic dispatches in the Peruvian cement market edged 0.75 per cent down to 908,553t when compared with the same month of 2013, according to Asocem, the country’s cement producers’ association. Cement exports reached 30,083t during the period. Production advanced 2.44 per cent to 958,712t.
