According to AHL Research, Fecto Cement Ltd (FECTC) management held a corporate briefing session on 24 November to discuss the FY22-23 and 1QFY23-24 financial results and future outlook. The management is in discussion of installing additional solar plants to become cost-efficient. CEMEX Poland agrees renewable energy contract with Statkraft

CEMEX Poland has entered into a long-term contract with Statkraft for the supply of green electricity from renewable sources, which is confirmed and secured by the purchase of a Guarantees of Origin (GOs). Saint-Gobain signs solar energy agreement

Saint-Gobain has signed a 14-year renewable electricity supply agreement with Alpiq Energie France. The contract covers the purchase of electricity generated by two solar farms located in Moselle, northeast France. Alpiq Energie France will supply over 500GWh of solar electricity to Saint-Gobain over the course of the agreement. Kohat Cement Co Ltd (KOHC) has announced its financial result for 1QFY23-24 at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) posting a profit after tax (PAT) of PKR2.230bn (US$7.92m) compared to a PAT of PKR1.785bn in a year ago period up by 25 per cent YoY. Holcim signs power agreement with Berde Renewables

Holcim Philippines has signed a power purchase agreement with Berde Renewables, a distributed energy platform of I Squared Capital. Lafarge Canada Inc ( Holcim )  and ATCO Ltd announced that they have entered into a 12.5-year virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA). Under this agreement, Lafarge’s Exshaw cement plant will receive 100 per cent of the solar energy produced by the 38.5MW Empress Solar project, meeting 34 per cent of the plant’s power requirements through 2036. India-based JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd , part of JK Organisation, has announced it will acquire a 20.80 per cent stake in Amplus Helios Pvt Ltd, a special purpose vehicle to set up a 50MWAC solar power plant in Chhattisgarh, India.
