Cement demand in Morocco increased 12.1 per cent YoY to 1.355Mt in October 2019 when compared with 1.208Mt supplied in October 2018, according to data published by the country’s Ministry of Housing and Urbanisation. The largest share, 888,724t, was delivered to the wholesale segment, followed by ready-mix concrete companies (240,608t) and the prefabricated segment (108,116t). Cement dispatches in Morocco increased by 9.4 per cent YoY to 1.14Mt in September, up from 1.04Mt in September 2018, according to the country’s cement association, APC. Shipments to the distribution segment have increased 3.2 per cent YoY to 767,707t while to ready-mix concrete companies deliveries were up 43.8 per cent to 182,940t. Cement sales in Morocco up 4% in June

Cement sales in Morocco increased 4.1 per cent to 815,842t in June 2019 YoY, according to the Association professionelle des cimentiers (APC). In the first half of the year, domestic cement demand has advanced 2.1 per cent to 6.57Mt when compared with the 1H18. Deliveries for the building sector expanded most rapidly by 37.4 per cent in the first six months.

Asment Temara, Ciments de l’Atlas, Ciments du Maroc and LafargeHolcim Maroc – members of Morocco’s cement association, APC – have seen their sales rise by 1.9 per cent YoY to 5.868Mt in the first five months of 2019 when compared with 5.761Mt in the 5M18, according to the country's Ministry of Urbanisation. Moroccan cement consumption rises to 1.17Mt in January

Cement sales in Morocco edged up to 1.17Mt in January 2019 from 1.11Mt in January 2017, according to the country’s cement association, APC. The rise in demand, which follows a market contraction of 3.7 per cent in 2018, has been welcomed with one operator commenting: “The recovery of the cement market is comforting. We hope that this upward trend will continue in the coming months.”
