Total shipments of Portland and blended cement, including imports, in the USA and Puerto Rico declined 8.9 per cent YoY to 7.3Mt, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). Trinidad Cement Ltd (TCL), part of CEMEX, will increase its cement prices by 20 March 2023. CEMEX España has signed an agreement with the green fuel producer ETFuels to transform CO 2 from the CEMEX cement plant in Alicante , Spain, into green fuels. Corporación Moctezuma posted a 14.5 per cent YoY growth in revenues to MXN4368.7m (US$237.3m) in the fourth quarter of 2022. El Salvador sees increase in Portland cement price

Average bagged cement prices in El Salvador saw YoY increases in January 2023, according to the country’s construction chamber, CASALCO. The price of a 42.5kg bag of Portland cement for ex-works delivery  increased 6.1 per cent US$8.58 in January 2023 from US$8.09 in January 2022. At retail level, the price of the same bag increased by 3.7 per cent YoY to US$9.16 from US$8.83 in January 2022.
