Cement demand in Bolivia advanced 40.6 per cent to 325,789t in July 2021 from 231,662t in July 2020 but remained 9.3 per cent below its 2019 level of 359,307t, according to national statistics office, INE. Cement consumption in Bolivia increased 25.6 per cent YoY to 289,440t in June 2021 from 230,378t in June 2020, according to data from the country’s statistics office, INE. However, when compared with June 2019, when demand reached 330,612t, a 30.3 per cent contraction was reported. Domestic cement production increased 25.5 per cent YoY to 299,517t in June 2021 from 238,640t in June 2020. Bolivian cement demand advanced 125 per cent to 295,026t in May 2021 when compared with the low base of 131,101t in May 2020, according to Bolivia’s statistics office, INE. Cement consumption in Bolivia surged to 286,667t in April 2021 from a very low base of 39,222t in April 2020 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to INE, the country’s statistics agency. Bolivia’s cement consumption slipped 13.3 per cent from 262,895t in February 2020 to 228,018t in February 2021, according to the country’s statistics office, INE. Cement consumption in Bolivia saw a 24.1 per cent drop to 230,317t in January 2021 from 303,619t in January 2020, according to Bolivia’s national statistics institute, INE. A MoM fall of 29.8 per cent was noted when compared with a demand of 328,064t in December 2020. Bolivian cement production declined 38.9 per cent from 392,217 in January 2020 to 239,663t in January 2021. When compared with December 2020, a 25.8 per cent drop from 322,876t was reported.

Bolivian cement demand saw a four per cent YoY and a 4.3 per cent MoM drop to 328,064t in December 2020. In December 2019 consumption reached 341,861t while in November 2020 it reached 342,743t,  according to Bolivia’s national statistics institute, INE. Domestic cement production declined to 322,876t in December 2020 from 372,217t in December 2019 and from 361,363t in November 2020.
