Mannok's sales director becomes vice chairperson of MPANI

Paddy Mohan, Mannok's Cement sales director, has taken the role of Vice Chairperson for the Mineral Products Association Northern Ireland (MPANI), an industry body which represents the entire mineral products industry in Northern Ireland and an organisation which Paddy has been a member of for 24 years. This new role marks an important milestone for Paddy as he previously had to step down from his role of vice chairperson shortly after he was elected in 2009 due to an illness.  

Chryso appoints new group executive vice-president

Frédéric Guimbal has been appointed Chryso Group Executive Vice-president in charge of Markets, Innovation, Purchasing and Communications. Mr Guimbal led the Concrete business Unit at Chryso in 2021 and now joins the Chyrsos’ Comex team. Frederic Guimbal brings 17 years of industry experience in cement and concrete, being close to the field, and having managed these activities in various geographies both in mature end emerging countries.

Michael McSweeney to retire as CAC President

The Cement Association of Canada has announced that after serving for 15 years with with the association, and 12 years as president, Michael McSweeney will be retiring as president on 31 March 2022 and from the association on 30 June 2022. Adam Auer, current CAC Vice President of Environment and Sustainability, will step in as the new President and CEO, effective from the 1 April 2022.
