Cement demand in Vietnam fell by 11 per cent YoY to 4,899,301t in October 2020. However, when compared with September 2020, a two per cent uptick was reported by the VNCA, the country’s cement association. Republic Cement aims to double plastic co-processing by 2021

Republic Cement’s resource recovery arm, ecoloop, plans to co-process a minimum of 10m plastic sachets or bags per day at its plant in the Philippines by the beginning of next year. Cement demand in Indonesia fell to 6.175Mt in September 2020, according to the Indonesian cement association, ASI. Indocement sales fall 9% in 9M20

HeidelbergCement-owned Indocement posted sales of 11.7Mt in the January-September 2020 period, down 8.6 per cent when compared with the 9M19. The drop in sales is attributed to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Indocement expects full-year sales to decrease by 5-7 per cent YoY.

Total cement sales in Vietnam fell by 12 per cent YoY and by seven per cent MoM to 4,826,791t, according to the Vietnamese National Cement Association (VNCA).
