Tajikistan produces 3.1Mt of cement in the 9M1921 October 2019, Published under Cement NewsIn January-September 2019, Tajikistan produced construction materials worth TJS2bn (US$207m), an increase of TJS257.5m compared to the 9M18, according to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan. During the first nine months of the year, the country produced 3.1Mt of cement. Cement exports during the period reached 1.2Mt, representing a value of US$51.4m. This includes 725,600t to Uzbekistan, 427,400t to Afghanistan and 58,500t to Kyrgyzstan. |
Tajikistan's cement output up in 7M1916 August 2019, Published under Cement NewsTajikistan has announced that around 2.328Mt of cement was produced in the country over the first seven months of 2019. According to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, this is around 209,000t higher than in January-July 2018. Dushanbe Tajikcement to change location05 July 2019, Published under Cement NewsTochikcement in Dushanbe will be transferred to a new location, according to Tajikistan Newsline. Cement capacity at the plant is currently 1.1Mta. The new plant, equipped with modern production technology, will be built near the raw material quarry in Kharangon, Varzob district. To implement the plant the Tajik government and Tochikcement recently signed an investment agreement for the construction and commissioning of the cement plant. |
Tajikistan's cement exports rise in 5M1926 June 2019, Published under Cement NewsTajikistan has exported nearly 620,000t of cement over the first five months of 2019, with average monthly exports at around 124,000t. The total is over 100,000t more than in Jan-May 2018, according to Asia-Plus. In the 5M19 the country exported 346,000t of cement to Uzbekistan, 247,000t to Afghanistan and 27,000t to Kyrgyzstan, according to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies (MoINT). |

An estimated US$30m is expected to be spent on construction, according to the company’s draft investment agreement with the government of Tajikistan. Almost 85 per cent of local production was split between Chzhungtsai Mohir Cement, Huaxin Gayur Cement and Huaxin Gayur Sughd Cement in the 1Q19, while Tojik Cement accounted for just 6.4 per cent. Exports from the country reached 182,000t in the same period, according to a report by Asia-Plus, however, an annual comparison was not stated.
