Cement sales in Vietnam declined by eight per cent YoY and by five per cent MoM to 5,655,119t in May 2022, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). The Iranian cement market contracted 11.6 per cent YoY to 5.11Mt in May 2022 from 5.78Mt in May 2021, according to the Iranian cement association. Peruvian cement dispatches saw a five per cent uptick in May 2022 to 1.117Mt from 1.066Mt in May 2021, according to the national cement association, Asocem. Puerto Rican cement sales in May 2022 declined 4.9 per cent YoY to 1.32m bags of 42.6kg, or 56,282t, according to the Puerto Rican Institute of Statistics. Colombian cement dispatches saw a 3.7 per cent YoY uptick to 1.089Mt in April 2022 from 1.051Mt in April 2021, according to the country’s statistics office, DANE.
