Demand for cement in Peru has increased 6.3 per cent YoY to 1.052Mt in August 2019 when compared with 0.989Mt in the year-ago period, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. CChC reports 11% YoY rise in Chile cement dispatches in July

Cement dispatches in Chile increased by 11.3 per cent to 317,626t in July 2019 from 285,357t in July 2018, according to the Chilean construction chamber (CChC). MoM an 8.8 per cent rise was achieved, from 291,979t in June 2019. In the first seven months of 2019, total dispatches reached 2,382,831t, up 5.7 per cent when compared with January-June 2018 when deliveries were 2,254,729t.

Colombia’s cement consumption increased 12.4 per cent YoY in July 2019 to 1.113Mt, reports the country’s statistics office, DANE. Chilean cement dispatches in June declined 10.6 per cent to 291,979t from 326,681t in June 2018, according to the Chilean Construction Chamber (CChC). When compared with the previous month, the drop was 15.4 per cent. In the first half of 2019, total cement dispatches in the South American country reached 2,065,205t, representing a 4.9 per cent increase when compared with the 1H18, when 1,969,372t was delivered.
