Märker Zement's new kiln is lifted into position

SGS Industrial Services GmbH has announced that the next major steps at the construction site in Harburg, Germany, for Märker Zement’s new kiln line have been achieved. The local SGS team successfully lifted the first part and second part of the new rotary kiln. The first part alone had a length of 36m and a weight of 190t, and the second had a length of 25m and weighed 120t. With two mobile cranes the two parts were lifted and positioned.  

Medcem orders 9000tpd kiln line from Sintek

Sinoma CBMI Construction wins order for new Domicem production line

Sinoma CBMI Construction will construct a new production line for Domicem (Colacem group) in the Dominican Republic. Colacem announced, in March 2021, that it would invest US$120m in its subsidiary Domicem for the construction of a new kiln line at Sabana Grande de Palenque. The project will double the existing cement capacity at the site to approximately 3.8Mta.

This September, Sinoma Overseas was awarded the contract by Kentcim Group for the main equipment supply and technical services for a 4250tpd cement production line in southern Turkey. Wärtsilä has signed a five-year Operation & Maintenance (O&M) agreement with Nigeria's Lafarge Africa Plc. The agreement covers the 100MW Lafarge Ewekoro power plant and is an extension of a previous 10-year agreement. The captive Ewekoro plant was supplied and commissioned by Wärtsilä in 2011. Pakistan’s Askari Cement Ltd has ordered three MVR vertical roller mills from Gebr Pfeiffer for its plant in Nizampur. Two of the mills are MVR 5000 C-4 cement mills, which together grind 360tph of cement to a fineness of 3250cm²/g according to Blaine.
