In December 2016 national demand stood at 940,055t. However, when compared with November 2017, the market contracted by 14.9 per cent. Lafarge Malaysia’s turnover came down by some 13 per cent to US$409.5m in the first nine months of 2017, while a net loss of US$33.1m was incurred, compared with a US$10.5m profit for the same period last year.
