Peru’s cement association, Asocem, reported a 2.3 per cent YoY rise in domestic deliveries from 0.838Mt in August 2016 to 0.857Mt in August 2017. Cement imports remained largely stable at 43,800t while clinker imports reached 86,000t. Peru’s cement dispatches edged up 0.6 per cent YoY to 0.777Mt in July 2017, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Domestic supply was supplemented by 100t of imported cement and 44,400t of imported clinker. Output from the country’s cement plants fell 1.2 per cent YoY to 0.827Mt in July. Peru's cement market contracted 6.9 per cent YoY with sales of 0.737Mt in February, according to Asocem, the country's cement producers' association. Output from Unacem, Cementos Pacasmayo and Cementos Yura reached 0.766Mt, 6.9 per cent below the 0.822Mt produced in February 2016. Cement consumption in Peru fell 5.2 per cent to 836,000t in December 2016, according to Asocem, the country's cement association. Exports decreased 43.5 per cent to 27,000t from 47,000t in December 2015. Cement production in December reached 886,000t, representing a 4.8 per cent decline YoY. Cement consumption in Peru continues to fall with domestic sales noting a 6.6 per cent YoY decline from 914,000t in November 2016 to 854,000t in November 2016, according to Asocem, the country’s cement association. In August Peruvian cement demand reached 0.868Mt, representing 4.3 per cent decline YoY, according to Asocem, the country's cement association. To complement local output, around 43,000t of cement and 87,000t of clinker were imported. Peru: cement market expands 1.8% YoY in April

Peru’s cement demand increased 1.8 per cent YoY in April to 781,000t, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. This reversed the previous month’s fall of 1.4 per cent. Cement output in April expanded by 7.5 per cent YoY to 831,000t. Some 29,000t of this volume was exported, reflecting an eight per cent decrease when compared with April 2015. In addition, 23,000t of clinker was exported – some 17 per cent below the April 2015 level.

Peru’s cement dispatches remained stable in December 2015 as they reached 881,000t while total dispatches edged up one per cent to 928,000t, according to Asocem, the country’s cement producers’ association. Cement dispatches in Peru fell 4.8 per cent YoY in November 2015, according to Asocem, the country’s cement association. Some 0.884Mt of cement was sold, down from 0.929Mt in November 2014. Total sales saw a 3.4 per cent drop to 0.923Mt. Output fell five per cent YoY from 0.973Mt to 0.924Mt in November 2015.
