The Peruvian cement market expanded 2.1 per cent YoY in November 2019 with total sales of 1.048Mt (November 2019: 1.026Mt), according to Peru’s cement association, Asocem. Peru’s cement market expanded by 6.7 per cent YoY in October 2019 as demand reached 1.089Mt when compared with 1.021Mt reported in October 2018, according to the latest data published by the country’s cement association, Asocem. National dispatches increased 6.5 per cent to 1.077Mt from 1.012Mt in October 2018. Peru’s cement consumption increased 6.5 per cent to 1.035Mt in September 2019 when compared with September 2018, according to Asocem, the country’s cement association. This included 1.02Mt supplied by domestic producers. Cement production increased 7.4 per cent to 943,000t when compared with September 2018 and 0.8 per cent MoM. Demand for cement in Peru has increased 6.3 per cent YoY to 1.052Mt in August 2019 when compared with 0.989Mt in the year-ago period, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Peru’s cement consumption increased 9.1 per cent YoY to 983,000t in July 2019 when compared with the previous-year’s equivalent month, which saw demand at 901,000t, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. The Peruvian cement market expanded by 4.1 per cent YoY to 0.914Mt in June, according to Asocem, the country’s cement association. However, MoM demand fell by 4.8 per cent. Cement consumption in Peru rose 8.2 per cent YoY in May 2019 to 0.976Mt, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Cement consumption in Peru advanced 3.4 per cent to 905,000t in April 2019, up 3.4 per cent when compared with April 2018, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Peru’s cement consumption advanced 4.8 per cent to 0.931Mt in March 2019 when compared with March 2018, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem.
