Indonesia, Taiwan and Malaysia top Vietnam's eight month export table

Indonesia, Taiwan and Malaysia were the largest importers of Vietnamese clinker and cement in the first eight months of this year, latest data from Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade shows. Peru August cement sales slip 0.75% YoY

In August domestic dispatches in the Peruvian cement market edged 0.75 per cent down to 908,553t when compared with the same month of 2013, according to Asocem, the country’s cement producers’ association. Cement exports reached 30,083t during the period. Production advanced 2.44 per cent to 958,712t. Iran to increase cement exports to Iraq

Iraq has agreed to increase the volume of cement exports from Iran, a senior trade official has said. "As of September 1, each (Iranian) company can export 15,000t of cement into the neighbouring country from Shalamcheh, Chazzabeh and Mehran border terminals," Jahanbakhsh Sanjabi Shirazi, the head of Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce, told Fars News Agency, as quoted by Zawya news. Argentina: cement demand down 4.1% YoY

In August, the Argentinian cement market was supplied by 993,397t of domestic production and 254t of imports as it saw consumption fall 7.2 per cent YoY to 993,651t. In addition, the country’s cement producers exported 10,598t, representing a YoY increase of 3.7 per cent. Iran exports exceed 8Mt in first five months

Iran exported over 8Mt of cement in the first five months of the Iranian calendar year, according to the country's cement industry body. Abdolreza Sheikhan, secretary of Iran's Cement Industry Employers Association said 981,605t of cement were exported in the fifth calendar month (July 23-August 22), Iran's IRIB reported on Sunday. The country has also successfully started to use railroads to export cement to neighbouring and Central Asian countries.

Pakistan’s August cement dispatches higher

Total Pakistan dispatches during August increased by 23.2 per cent compared to the same month of last year with strong increases seen on both the domestic and export front. Latest data from the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association shows that total dispatches reached 2.7788Mt last month compared to 2.254Mt in August 2013. Vietnam’s export volumes up 20% YoY

In the first seven months of this year, Vietnam earned US$563.15 from exporting 13.1Mt of clinker and cement, up 24 and 20.4 per cent in value and volume terms, respectively.  Indonesia, Taiwan and Malaysia were the top importers of Vietnamese exports during the period, according to figures from the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade. Heracles profit lifted by exports, demand pick up

Greece-based Heracles General Cement Co reported a 9.3 per cent YoY increase in sales for the first half of 2014 to EUR123.4m. Pakistan's export earnings down by one-third

During the first month of the new Pakistan fiscal, cement exports declined by 30.31 per cent YoY to 557,159t, with shipments to Afghanistan falling significantly. In revenue terms, exports were down by 33.68 per cent to US$32.59m during the same month, according to the latest data from Pakistan’s Bureau of Statistics.
