Brazilian cement sales surged 26.5 per cent YoY to 5.3Mt in April, according to the domestic cement association, SNIC. Portland cement production in the Dominican Republic increased 23.8 per cent YoY to 1,247,386t in the first quarter of 2021, according to the Asociación Dominicana de Productores de Cemento de Portland (ADOCEM). Pakistan’s cement industry registered strong growth of 40.4 per cent in April 2021, when total cement dispatches reached 4.943Mt versus 3.52Mt during the same month of the previous fiscal. Cement sales in Vietnam slipped nine per cent YoY to 5.903Mt in March 2021, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA).
