India’s ACC has reported a 15 per cent YoY increase in consolidated profit-after-tax to INR2.4bn (US$32.6m) for the 3Q18 ended 30 September. Net sales rose 10 per cent to INR33.64bn, compared with INR30.54bn seen in the year-ago period. Operating EBITDA was up seven per cent YoY to INR4.44bn from INR4.16bn. Cement prices in central India rise

While cement prices across India declined MoM to INR326 (US$4.44)/50kg bag in October from INR328/bag, they significantly increased by INR3/bag in central India as local demand performed better when compared with other regions. Detailed guidelines recently finalised for India’s Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 will see cement factories within 400km of RDF plants have to ensure that the material constitutes at least five per cent of their fuel supply. India’s NCL Industries has announced strong results in the Jul-Sept 2018 period. Cement production increased 32 per cent YoY to 0.48Mt, while dispatches similarly rose 31 per cent to 0.48Mt. Elsewhere, the company’s production of its cement particle boards advanced 19 per cent YoY to 16,458t. Dispatches of the product increased seven per cent to 16,728t.
