Cement sales in Vietnam fell by eight per cent in June 2020 when compared to June 2019, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Shipments reached 5,215,388t, noting a similar MoM decrease from 5,680,883t in May 2020. Of this total, VICEM reported an eight per cent YoY decline to 1,693,426t while sales of its joint ventures were down 10 per cent YoY to 1,371,962t in June. Vietnamese cement demand fell by three per cent YoY to 5,680,883t in May 2020, according to the country’s cement association, VNCA. Sales by VICEM saw a two per cent decline to 1,975,476t while offtake from its associates decreased by eight per cent to 1,495,407t YoY. Other VNCA member companies saw a one per cent advance in sales to 2,210,000t in May 2020 when compared with 2,160,000t in May 2019. Vietnam’s cement market contracted 11 per cent YoY and 13 per cent MoM as domestic cement sales reached 5,664,973t in April 2020, according to the latest data from the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Vietnamese producers supplied 6,508,053t of cement to the domestic market in March 2020, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Total cement sales in Vietnam reached 4.207Mt in February 2020, up 58 per cent YoY and 47 per cent MoM, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). The total includes 1.383Mt delivered by VICEM, representing an increase of 48 per cent YoY and 53 per cent MoM. Total Vietnamese cement sales reached 8.196Mt in September 2019, up two per cent YoY and one per cent MoM, according to the latest data by the Vietnam Cement Association (VNCA).
