The unit, located on a 10acre site will produce 300tpd of OPC, PPC and PSC cement. Equipment for the INR124.7m (US$1.1m) project is yet to be ordered and Chariot currently is awaiting environmental clearance. Project completion is scheduled in 10 months from zero date. |

The first phase will see the building of a 100tpd plant. To build the works the company has acquired a 1.57ha plot of land and estimates the project cost at INR50m (US$721,175). MI Cement to raise debt for Bangladeshi grinding unit19 April 2019, Published under Cement NewsMI Cement Factory Ltd is expected to raise foreign currency loans from HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank to finance its sixth line at its West Mukterpur, Munshiganj district of Bangladesh, according to the company’s Senior General Manager, Mozharul Islam. The US$70m project will add 8400tpd of grinding capacity to the site’s current capacity of 19,400tpd. Commercial production at the new unit is scheduled to start in January 2021. |
