Chariot Steel and Power plans 300tpd grinding unit

Chariot Steel and Power Ltd intends to build a cement grinding plant at Kalunga Estate, Sundergarh district, Odisha, India. The unit, located on a 10acre site will produce 300tpd of OPC, PPC and PSC cement. Equipment for the INR124.7m (US$1.1m) project is yet to be ordered and Chariot currently is awaiting environmental clearance. Project completion is scheduled in 10 months from zero date.

Maadesh Cements plans cement grinding unit in Tamil Nadu

India-based Maadesh Cements is planning the two-phase construction of a 300tpd cement grinding unit in Kattur village, Vellore district, Tamil Nadu. The first phase will see the building of a 100tpd plant. To build the works the company has acquired a 1.57ha plot of land and estimates the project cost at INR50m (US$721,175). MI Cement to raise debt for Bangladeshi grinding unit

MI Cement Factory Ltd is expected to raise foreign currency loans from HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank to finance its sixth line at its West Mukterpur, Munshiganj district of Bangladesh, according to the company’s Senior General Manager, Mozharul Islam. The US$70m project will add 8400tpd of grinding capacity to the site’s current capacity of 19,400tpd. Commercial production at the new unit is scheduled to start in January 2021.

Lehigh Hanson proposes new grinding facility in Canada

Lehigh Hanson has submitted a proposal for a new grinding facility with a marine terminal located next to its existing integrated plant on Tilbury Island, Canada. The 0.65Mta Delta grinding unit would have an operational life of at least 40 years, according to the company. Cementos Melón to invest in new capacity

Chile-based Cementos Melón has announced that it will open a new cement facility in Punta Arenas in the first half of 2020. The first stage of construction will see an investment of US$30m, with an expected capacity of 0.5Mta. Grinding specialist Gebr Pfeiffer has received the order for a coal grinding system to be installed at Samrat Cement Co Pvt Ltd’s new plant in the Dang region of southern Nepal.
