Cement consumption in Spain declined 16.5 per cent to 6.1Mt in the first half of 2020 when compared with the 1H19, according to Oficemen, the country’s  cement association. Pakistan's Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS) has released cement export data for the 12 months of July-June (2019-20). During this period, the quantity of cement exports increased but the dollar value fell, reflecting a weaker global market for cement and clinker in the aftermath of COVID-19. Iran continues cement exports to Afghanistan

A total of 54,000t of cement have been exported to Afghanistan from Sistan and Baluchestan province, southeastern Iran, since the start of the Iranian year on 20 March. The cement was transported by 2,056 trucks through the Milak border crossing, said Ayoub Kord, head of the Roads and Urban Development Organisation of Sistan and Baluchestan province.

Cement demand in Argentina has fallen 7.3 per cent YoY to 797,926t in June 2020, according to AFCP, the national cement association. However, MoM a 23 per cent advance was reported. Bangladesh's cement industry has earned export revenue of US$9.14m in the FY19-20 (July 2019-June 2020), compared to US$10.41m bagged in 12MFY18-19, a significant contraction of 12.2 per cent YoY.
